前野家住宅とは
代々名主を務めた旧家であり、多数の記録が残っている名家の屋敷。
大きな長屋門の奥には茅葺きの母屋があり、ほかに土蔵や納屋などがある。
現在も残されている建物の大きさからもわかるとおり、現在も名家としての家柄が残っている。
前野家住宅は1804年の家普請付留覚帳が残されているため、古民家の中では明確に年代が特定されている。
県指定文化財に指定されたことを示す看板も年期を感じさせる。
現在も前野家の人が暮らしているため、見学をする際には必ず挨拶をして迷惑をかけないようにしたい。

What is the Maeno Family Residence?
The Maeno family is an ancient lineage that has served as a feudal lord for multiple generations, and extensive documentation exists regarding the notable family’s ancestral residence.
Situated behind the imposing Nagaya-mon gate is a thatched main residence, accompanied by a number of ancillary structures, including storage facilities and a barn.
As evidenced by the architectural remains, the family continues to maintain its status as a prominent lineage.
The Maeno family residence is unmistakably among the oldest private residences in the area, as evidenced by the house-fudatsu-tsuki tomekakucho, which dates to 1804.
Furthermore, the designation of the house as a prefectural cultural property is indicated by a sign that also serves to illustrate its age.
As the Maeno family continues to reside in the house, visitors are encouraged to extend greetings to them and to avoid causing any inconvenience during their tour of the premises.
